Where Anna works

Anna has worked in India, Uganda, USA and Australia, Bangladesh, Kenya and Nepal – in district, state, national and global projects.


DSC01967India: Home base since 2010. Consulted across Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa and Tamil Nadu since 2012. Worked on the BMGF Sukshema Project for Intrahealth in Karnataka from 2010-2012.




Sri Lanka: Implemented the Primary Care Progression Model in 2019 for the Government of Sri Lanka.Prepared an M&E Training Needs Assessment for the National STD/AIDS Control Program in 2018. 


Zambia:Created training resources for the rollout of the human resources information system for the Ministry of Health, Republic of Zambia in 2017. Part of a team that assessed the SmartCare Electronic Medical Record system for BMGF and The Ministry of Health, GRZ in 2014. 




DSC01865Uganda: Developed an operations research study protocol for the integration of cervical cancer screening and treatment into existing reproductive health services for a consortium of providers, including Marie Stopes International, Population Services International and the International Planned Parenthood Federation.




DSC00228USA: Worked at the Carolina Population Centre (MEASURE Evaluation and the MLE Project) from 2008-2010. Consulted for FHI 360. Completed my Masters of Public Health at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 2006-8, on a Rotary World Peace Fellowship. Also studied International Development Policy at Duke University.


Australia: Home country, started career in book publishing in 1999. Also worked in adult education and tertiary education management.


Bangladesh: Worked for UNICEF Bangladesh in 2004-5 and ICDDRB in 2007. During latter stay, did a policy analysis of the Menstrual Regulation Program as part of the WHO Commission on the Social Determinants of Health.


IMG_0010 4Kenya: Worked with the African Population Health Research Centre and JHPIEGO as part of the MLE Project in 2009 & 2010. Ran a basic M&E training program, coordinated community inputs into the Urban Health Conference and organized a stakeholder meeting into study design and study tools.


Nepal: Consulted for UNICEF’s regional office South Policy Unit in 2010 for a review of UNICEF’s work on equity.
